The Need

Disaster Relief:
Reparation, relief and recovery: our disaster response means committing to communities before – and long after – an emergency hits.

Migration, Asylum and Refugees:
More and more families flee home because of climate change and violence. But there are fewer places to go. We’re leading the charge in displacement relief strategy.

Global Development:
No child should die from malnutrition, especially when there are long-term solutions ready to take root in each community. We are striving for sustainable solutions to fight hunger and poverty.

Welcome a Refugee:
Partner with a CWS office or affiliate to welcome newcomers in your area as they establish new lives.

Advocacy:
Communicate with elected officials and key international institutions, urging policies that are responsive to the needs of the vulnerable.

Congregations:
Find ways to volunteer, provide meaningful resources for your worship and opportunities to change lives.

How We Engage

Community Sponsorship:
Welcoming initiative that engages community members who provide essential services in coordination with local staff to newcomers arriving in their community.

Advocacy & Organizing:
Equip the members of advocacy teams with the tools, skill-building, and networks needed to advance their effort in promoting a sustainable strategy to combat displacement and refugee crisis.

Institutional Partnerships:
Partnering with foundations and corporations who prioritize community-led responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster.
