Why We Care

We draw profound inspiration from a powerful Bible verse, Luke 21:2-4, which guides discussions on the principles of giving, selflessness, and the genuine intentions behind generosity.

In this verse, Jesus observes a scene at the temple treasury where the rich make substantial contributions. Amidst them, He notices a poor widow quietly placing two small copper coins into the treasury. With deep insight, Jesus states, «Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.»

This passage illuminates a fundamental lesson: the value of generosity is not measured solely by the amount given, but by the spirit and sacrifice underlying the gesture. It underscores the significance of giving from the heart, irrespective of one’s financial means, and emphasizes that God treasures the sincerity and generosity of the giver more than the actual sum contributed. This story of the widow’s mite is a timeless reminder of the profound impact of selfless giving and the transformative power of a compassionate heart.

Our personal journey began with a transformative experience—the Journey
of Generosity, a small group retreat that delves into living with biblical generosity. Inspired by this encounter, we embarked on a mission to create a positive impact
in the lives of others through our business endeavors and charitable efforts.

We aspire to cultivate a family culture for our two children, Natalie and Ethan, rooted
in the principles of responsible stewardship of the gifts God has entrusted to us.
